Sumi-e Ink & Drawings

The Japanese reverence for nature, imbuing spiritual qualities to mountains, water, flora and fauna parallels my own emotional responses to the nature around me in Scotland.
I have adopted Sumi-e ink painting and continue to develop a personal approach in both technique and subject matter; Pared down graphic imagery and delicate ink wash, playing with scale and materials.
